THE ROLE OF THE ORIGINAL AND MEDIATIVE LANGUAGE IN THE TRANSLATION OF DRAMMAS BY G.E.LESSING
Abstract
The article examines the meaning of the original language and the language of the mediator in the translation of the dramas of the German writer - educator and playwright Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, who wrote such dramas as "Miss Sara Sampson" ("Miss Sara Sampson", 1755), "Philotas" (“Philotas", 1959), "Minna von Barnhelm" ("Minna von Barnhelm", 1767), "Emilia Galotti" (“Emilia Galotti”, 1772) and "Nathan the Wise" (“Nathan der Weise’, 1779). In particular, we are talking about the translation into Uzbek of his drama "Nathan the Wise" by poet-translator Mirpulat Mirzo through Russian translation and translation of the tragedy "Emilia Galotti" from the original language into Uzbek by translator Posha Ali Usman.
