ЕС недавно принял новый закон, Общий регламент по защите данных (GDPR), который, как считается, укрепляет существующее законодательство о защите данных в Европейском Союзе. Выбор самого Регламента в качестве правового инструмента делает GDPR сильнее Директивы, поскольку он гарантирует единообразное и последовательное выполнение правил, тем самым консолидируя единый цифровой рынок ЕС. GDPR ввел несколько новых прав для субъектов данных, которые призваны усилить контроль потребителей над своими личными данными на цифровом рынке: право на переносимость данных, право отозвать согласие и право быть забытым. В этой статье подробно обсуждается каждое из этих прав, чтобы оценить их эффективность в защите прав потребителей на неприкосновенность частной жизни.
