FEATURES OF THE QUALIFICATION OF TERRORISM FINANCING

This article examines the features of qualifying terrorism financing in the criminal law of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The relevance of the problem is due to the growing threat of international terrorism and the need to harmonize national legislation with international standards. The provisions of international documents, such as the FATF Recommendations and the UN Convention on Combating the Financing of Terrorism, and their implementation in Uzbekistan’s legislation are analyzed. Issues related to the competition of criminal law norms and the differentiation of terrorism financing from other crimes, including extremism financing, are identified. Suggestions for improving the legislative framework are proposed, including clarifying the dispositions of the Criminal Code articles, criminalizing attempts to finance terrorism, and ensuring effective international cooperation.
