THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ECONOMIC EXPERT OPINION IN THE EVIDENCE PROCESS AND PROBLEMS OF ITS EVALUATION

The article comprehensively analyzes the significance of economic expert opinion in the evidence process and problems of its evaluation. The study examines the main criteria for evaluating economic expert conclusions, including such aspects as its relevance to the case, admissibility, reliability, completeness, scientific validity, objectivity, accuracy, and comprehensibility. The issues of limited possibilities for full evaluation of scientific validity due to insufficient economic knowledge among investigators and judges, as well as issues of comprehensibility and sufficiency of expert opinions, are also analyzed. The study also examines important issues of compliance of economic expert conclusions with procedural requirements, their connection with other evidence, and the internal logical integrity of the conclusion. The article puts forward proposals for involving specialists in evaluating economic expert opinions, improving economic knowledge of investigators and judges, and enhancing examination methodologies. The research results serve to increase the effectiveness of investigating economic crimes and their judicial review.
