LEGAL ASPECTS OF THE PROTECTION OF WOMEN’S RIGHTS WITHIN UN SYSTEM

Article analyses the international mechanisms for the protection of women’s rights, the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, to create and improve the effectiveness of national mechanisms for the advancement of women at the highest political level, as well as the importance of UN activities in resolving this problem. As a result of the analysis, recommendations were made on the advisability of accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Optional Protocol to the Convention of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
