The global tourism market is considered one of the most profitable and dynamically developing sectors of the global economy. Its specificity is determined by a multifaceted socioeconomic phenomenon—international tourism. It is characterized by a multitude of definitions. These definitions characterize tourism as an independent, specific economic sector, but they draw on different perspectives, allowing for a comprehensive picture and the identification of tourism actors and objects. Thus, the primary definition encompasses the characteristics of tourism as a specific sphere focused on providing services to travelers. These definitions are analyzed by the authors, and their conclusions are based on the opinions of international experts.
