THE CURRENT STATE OF CRIMINOLOGICAL FORECASTING IN COMBATING CRIME IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AND THE REFORMS IMPLEMENTED IN THIS FIELD

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of improving the crime prevention system in Uzbekistan, strengthening the prevention of offenses, and introducing criminological forecasting mechanisms. Based on recent crime dynamics, regional disparities, and the growth of cybercrime, the necessity of scientifically improving existing preventive mechanisms is substantiated. The article evaluates the classification of neighborhoods according to criminogenic conditions (“green,” “yellow,” and “red” categories), targeted allocation of resources, the use of digital information systems for data collection and analysis, and the introduction of a risk-based management model as important tools for the early prevention of crime. Particular attention is paid to the reliability of statistical data, interagency cooperation, and the methodological foundations of criminological analysis.
