POSSIBILITIES FOR INTRODUCING A SYSTEM OF JUDICIAL OVERSIGHT IN DISPUTE RESOLUTION AT THE PRE-TRIAL STAGE

This article is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of introducing the institution of judicial control into the process of dispute resolution at the pre-trial stage of criminal procedural legislation. The study analyzes issues of strengthening guarantees for the protection of individual rights and freedoms during the preliminary investigation and inquiry, and establishing effective judicial control over the activities of the prosecutor and investigative bodies. Additionally, international standards and the experience of advanced foreign countries (including the activities of the institution of the investigating judge) were studied, and substantiated scientific and practical proposals were developed to expand the elements of judicial supervision into national criminal procedural legislation.
