In this article provided a comparative analysis of the norms regarding the classification of crimes in foreign countries. As a result were revealed, differences and similarities of these norms. In particular, classification crimes in some foreign countries, they proceed from: the maximum term of imprisonment, from the fact that serious crimes are also committed through negligence, the amount and term of punishment (but the form of guilt is not taken into account), the amount of harm, and are given proposals on the improvement of the norms on the classification of crimes of the current Criminal Code.
