FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT AND PROBLEMS OF LEGAL REGULATION OF ELECTRONIC TRADE

Abstract

The importance of e-commerce cannot be overstated. The ability to do business online around the world at any time creates tremendous opportunities in virtually every industry. It also, however, presents complex commercial and legal problems.

The article is devoted to the study of the essence of the concept of electronic commerce and the peculiarities of its development and legal regulation in the current environment. Based on the study of the views of scientists in the context of the phenomenon under study, the concept of electronic commerce and the technological foundations of its functioning were determined. It was established within the framework of the activities of which bodies at the international level the settlement of legal issues related to electronic commerce and the priority areas of such activities are carried out. In particular, attention was paid to the normative documents in the field of regulation of electronic commerce of such specialized world organizations as the European Union, the UN Commission on International Trade Law. United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business, World Labor Organization. The analysis of the norms of the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, determination of the organizational and legal foundations of activities in the field of e-commerce, establishment of the procedure for conducting electronic transactions using information and telecommunication systems. Briefly, this article attempts to highlight the problems of legislative support for electronic commerce.
