At present, the civil law of both the RF and the Republic of Uzbekistan defines custom as one of the sources of civil law. The relevance of the study of custom as a source of law is due to the fact that the norms of customary law have a single legal essence, representing a rule of behavior characterized by an external manifestation, obligation and the application of sanctions for their violation
