The article discusses the concept, essence and significance of ensuring human rights, freedoms and legitimate interests in the process of carrying out operational search activities by operational units of internal affairs bodies in order to solve the tasks of operational search activities, the conditions for conducting operational search activities related to the restriction of human rights, and also highlights scientific views and opinions of scientists aimed at strengthening the system of guarantees of the legality of operational investigative activities and the essential elements of the law governing this activity.
