THE CONCEPT OF CRIME COMPOSITION AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

The article analyzes the concept of crime composition (corpus delicti), its elements, and its legal significance. The author elaborates on the mandatory and optional features of the four main elements of crime composition: the object, the objective side, the subject, and the subjective side. Furthermore, the article classifies types of crime compositions (based on the degree of social danger, structure, and moment of completion). The practical importance of crime composition in the qualification of acts and sentencing is substantiated based on the views of legal scholars and legislative norms.
