Abstract

The Prosecutor's Office of European States (EPPO - European Public Prosecutor's Office) was established as part of "expanded cooperation" and only 20 of the 28 member states participated in the adoption of the EPPO Regulation. Currently, only the legal foundations of EPPO have been created, the body itself has not yet been created. Although EPPO was established as a European Union body, its structure is integrated into the national law enforcement system. EPPO officials exercise their procedural authority in accordance with national criminal procedure and material legislation. This article analyzes the history of EPPO's creation, its functions and activities, and the legal aspects of providing prosecutorial services throughout Europe, as well as developing scientific conclusions on this matter.
