THE FIGHT AGAINST CRIME IS A PRIORITY TASK TO ENSURE SOCIAL STABILITY, PEACE AND SECURITY IN SOCIETY

This article emphasizes the paramount importance of combating crime to ensure social stability, peace, and security in society. It analyzes the legal policy pursued by the state, particularly issues of crime prevention, improving the prevention system, and strengthening the activities of law enforcement agencies. Based on the Presidential Decree of January 5, 2026, measures are being taken to create a safe environment in the districts, conduct targeted outreach, implement digital technologies, and strengthen interagency cooperation. The results of practical work conducted in the Surkhandarya region are also presented, using statistical data as an example. The article provides a scientific and practical justification for the effectiveness of preventive measures and identifies priority areas for the future.
