YOUTH IN THE NEW UZBEKISTAN: A SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

This article explores the methodological foundations for the sociological analysis of youth within the context of the New Uzbekistan. It examines how the social identity and roles of the younger generation are undergoing significant changes in the 21st century due to rapid globalization, the advancement of information technologies, and digital communications. Furthermore, the paper provides a comparative analysis of the institutional formation and history of state youth policy in Uzbekistan, covering post-independence transformational processes and the qualitative shifts occurring after 2017. The article substantiates the transition from an "object-oriented" to a "subject-oriented" model in youth policy, where young people are viewed as active participants in social progress and a strategic resource. It also reviews current academic research, dissertations, and the activities of scientific schools dedicated to the sociological study of youth issues in Uzbekistan.
