GENDER EQUALITY: THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE SOCIO-POLITICAL LIFE OF UZBEKISTAN

This article analyzes gender equality, its etymology and the role of the United Nations Organization in promoting gender equality. In the article, the author provides a comparative analysis of the experience of developed countries in the field of gender equality. In Uzbekistan, proposals and recommendations were developed to address issues of gender equality, in particular the participation of women in the public and political life of the country, as well as to solve existing problems in this area.
